Many homes that have old wired infrastructure may be better suited with a new "Lynx" wireless alarm instead of a wired "Vista" because of potential complications. Wireless systems have many options and upgrades available including wireless monitored fire/ carbon monoxide detectors, key remotes etc.
Pre- wired system: For most home that have been wired within the last 15 or so years a standard wired system will be adequate. If for any reason your wired home is missing a few wires here and there, we will still be able to complete the job with additional wireless sensors and an upgraded RF( radio frequency) Vista touch pad which allows for the addition and monitoring of wireless sensors. Pre- wired systems have many options and upgrades available including wireless monitored fire/ carbon monoxide detectors, key remotes etc.
Wireless System: that provides an increased protection to your home. The Lynx wireless system comes standard with a 2- Way Voice speaker. When your wireless system is installed the technician will connect a phone line to the speaker on the touch pad. When activated this speaker will allow our monitoring center to hear suspicious activity furthering our ability to confirm a break in. When we are able to verify that an intruder is in your home we will then notify the police of the situation. If the alarm has been set off by accident, one of our operators will come over the speaker on the touch pad asking for a verified password which can then be given by speaking directly to the touch pad. The alarm will then be turned off by our central station. Because of the increased ability afforded by 2 Way Voice service we are able to reduce the occurrence of false alarms.
Pet safe motion detectors: We offer a variety of options and can customize a system specifically for your needs. We offer pet safe motion detectors of up to 80lbs. This means that if you have a pet that weighs anything under 80lbs, they can roam free while the motion detector remains armed.
Home owner's insurance discounts: Your home when monitored by a home alarm system will be three times less likely to be broken into than a home without a monitored alarm. Home owner's insurance companies recognize this fact and offer discounts to their customers for installing a monitored alarm system in their home.
Discounted Monitoring: We offer a variety of monitoring services from basic, 2- Way voice to cellular monitoring services. Our monthly monitoring rates are very competitive and start at a little over $1 per day.
First: Burglary
Burglary protection services- Your home will be protected from intruders while you are away as well as when you are at home. a) When you are away from your with your alarm activated, if in the event that someone were to break in, we will then be notified of this through the security system installed in your home. In the case that an intruder sets off the alarm and you have our 2-way voice monitoring service, a trained operator speak through the speaker of the Honeywell panel asking for a password in order to turn the siren off. At this point, the intruder will most likely leave the home. Through the 2- Way speaker, the monitoring company can listen in and hear what is taking place in the home. If the monitoring company can confirm suspicious activity, they will then notify the proper authorities with a confirmed alert. In the event that an alarm is accidentally set off by the home owner, the password can easily be verified over the 2- Way voice speaker with a security representative. b) Your home will be protected from intruders when you are at home at night and your alarm is set to "home" status. This setting, if pushed on the alarm panel will deactivate any and all motion detectors in the home while still arming all doors and any window that have contacts. If an intruder breaks into the home while the alarm is activated on the home setting, they would trigger the alarm and the monitoring company would come over the speaker to confirm a password. If the burglar forces the homeowner to turn off the alarm, a fake code would then be entered informing the alarm company of a hostage situation.
Second: Medical
Medical Response- Your family will enjoy additional peace of mind knowing that your monitoring company also offers medical monitoring services. This channel allows you to summon emergency medical response without possible 911 delays. We also offer monitored medical pendants for the elderly and/or disabled.
Third: Fire
Fire Protection- In the event of a fire, this channel enables you to summon immediate fire response through your security system. Monitored Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are also available at an additional cost for the detectors. (typically $70 for each detector: there is no extra monthly fee to monitor these detectors) If a monitored fire detector is set off, the monitoring company would immediately notify the fire department.
