How I Made Income Working at Home

Many people may have a true desire to work from the comfort of their own home. I was constantly searching for the ideal work-at-home job opportunity. I wanted to create my own flexible work schedule. My profession is in the health care field. I researched medical-related careers that would allow me to work from my home. I successfully completed a distance education course and earned my diploma in medical transcription. Also, I have a great passion for writing.

Currently, I have created two web sites and a blog that provide information about training and working in the medical transcription profession.

In the past, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to write non-credit courses for a program that offered online educational classes. I was able to teach these courses to the online students that enrolled into the program. I wrote a medical transcription course and a psychology course.

Following this rewarding experience, I was offered a professional opportunity to work on writing projects for college credit courses. One of my favorite work-at-home jobs was being an online instructor for these medical assisting courses, which I truly enjoyed. I also became a medical item writer. I wrote appropriate test questions for a medical-related exam. I was an independent contractor for this work-at-home project.

Most recently, I have become a successful eBay seller. I had fun learning how to do photography for the items that I sell on eBay. I happened to purchase a tabletop photo studio with wonderful lighting features, which helped me to produce great photos. To my surprise and delight, I actually became a power seller and also a top seller.

After all of my varied work-at-home experiences, my favorite job continues to be freelance writing. I sincerely appreciate the chance to write about the topics that I really enjoy, such as the following: medical transcription, medical coding, medical assisting, time management, home organization, psychology, and pet care.

When you work from home, it is helpful if you have the option to choose the time of day that works best for your daily schedule. I try to routinely schedule an hour for the research time to prepare for my article writing. My next step is to write a rough draft and carefully proofread the draft of my article. Then, I type the article onto my computer and edit the article if necessary. Finally, I submit my article for professional review.

I enjoy completing my freelance writing in a step-by-step manner. Currently, I am using a daily assignment book to write down my creative ideas for my article topics that I want to write in the future. I find it helpful to focus on one article at a time and extensively research the topic.

I try to schedule the articles that may require additional research when I definitely have the uninterrupted time to work on the project. I can usually write articles about subjects that I understand very well in a shorter amount of time.

There are so many advantages of working from home. When you are happy with your career, it doesn't even seem like work! My long-term goal is to be successful with my work-at-home freelance writing plan.
